Les vergers Boiron have selected the Charentais yellow variety, also known as Cantaloupe, from responsible producers in the Petite Camargue, Charente-Maritime, Deux-Sèvres and Indre et Loire regions.
The recipe contains 100% French-grown melons, but may also contain some Moroccan Cantaloupe when there is an insuffi cient yield. Melon is harvested carefully by hand, so as not to damage the fl avor of this fruit, which very quickly exceeds its optimum maturity. Sometimes, this means returning to the same plot up to 10 times.
Les vergers Boiron melon purée is naturally sweet, characterised by powerful aromatic intensity and notes of other cucurbits, such as squash and watermelon.
